
The Mask
Halloween is approaching quickly, which made me think about costumes, fantasy, and masks. Halloween is a great holiday for us to pretend to be someone we are not. We dress up to be someone other than our authentic selves. I question, “Is Halloween the only opportunity we take to pretend to be someone we aren’t? How often do we wear a mask in our daily lives? And why? Showing up daily without a mask can be scary, but also so freeing. Allowing others to see who we truly are as we work on who we want to become, creates strong, authentic relationships.
