Our Word of the Week the past two weeks has been Patience. We choose to keep this word for two weeks because we need it a minimum of two weeks per year to remind of us this beautiful, difficult virtue. Being patient is a choice. Being patient is being aware of the present. Being patient is giving grace to yourself and others. Good things are coming. We just need to be patient.
Helen Keller stated, “We could never learn to be brave and patient if there were only joy in the world.” Obstacles and challenges are always going to cross our path. Learning, growing, and accepting them take us to new levels in our lives. Giving the driver who cut you off or the grumpy cashier grace because you don’t know what is going on in their life…that’s patience. Taking a breath when your day doesn’t go the way you planned…that’s patience not only for others but for yourself as well. How can you show PATIENCE today?
