The season of hustle, bustle, Santas, and Grinches is upon us. We can get so caught up in our own merriment and to-do list that we may forget that this may not be the happiest time of year for everyone. I know personally friends and family who are currently challenged with travel headaches, emotional trauma, devastating diagnoses, tragic memories, and even recent deaths.
Our quote from last week referencing grace was, “Grace is having a relationship with someone’s heart, not their behavior.” What would happen if we treated everyone we encountered with grace, presence, and dignity? The retail workers, the grumpy man standing in line with you, the family member everyone avoids, or the pessimistic co-worker. You have the opportunity to be the one who offers them a bright moment or even a better day.
Let’s work together to end 2025 sharing grace and love, even when it’s hard. We might find we receive a little more grace and love in return.
