I’ve been hearing the phrase “Meet me where I am” a lot lately. It’s important to meet people in the moment without judgment or unrealistic expectations. But shouldn’t we also walk with them toward where they want to go? We don’t want to leave anyone stagnant, especially when they’re striving for more.
Think of a child: we meet them at their level, then guide and teach them so they can grow. At GEFS, we do the same. We meet our clients where they are, then support and walk alongside them as together we work toward their fitness and health goals.
So, friends, let’s meet each other where we are—and then encourage and empower one another as we move toward our goals together. Maybe the phrase needs an upgrade:
“Meet me where I am, and walk with me to where I want to be.”
